Mobridge Middle School

The Mobridge Middle School is dedicated to its students and is committed to meeting the individual needs of young people. Each student is unique and, to succeed, needs to acquire certain skills and knowledge, to develop initiative, and to assume personal responsibility. The staff subscribes to the following beliefs:

• Middle school students experience a distinct developmental stage different from primary and secondary students.

• The middle school years should be a time for students to explore interests, build confidence, and develop learning methods which will serve them well in life.

• The middle school must stress the ability to organize, interpret, and apply knowledge in an environment where the student, not the program is most important.

• Students need broad experiences that will teach them the diversity of cultures, political systems, and peoples.

• Students will assume responsibility for their actions and the consequences. There must be a school atmosphere that understands and relates to the physical, emotional, social and academic needs of this group.

Class Day = 8:12 - 3:18

Parents have the right to know the qualifications for their students' teachers and paraprofessionals. This information is available upon request at the office.
